Ziv Schneider is an artist and designer working with new and emerging technologies, often in the context of non-fiction storytelling and cultural preservation. She is an alum, former research fellow and sometimes lecturer at NYU ITP and the co-founder of Raycaster Studio currently incubated at new inc. Her work has been showcased internationally in festivals and museums including IDFA Doc Lab, MIT, Sotheby's, Queens Museum, and Futurium Berlin. Residencies and fellowships include the Economist Media Lab, NYFA and Pioneer Works.

To me, it is sad to see electronic devices die. They remind me of how we are also temporary and mortal. In this project I disassembled broken down devices. As a memento, I saved the screws – the only part that can be re-used. Every page of this catalogue is a dead device and in the end you can see the index with information about the different models.
